About the Event
end2endtv CIC is a non-profit Community Interest Company. We are a children's TV production company and Arts Award centre.
In 2018 we started working with a group of 7 year old children using video as part of Media Crew at Burnt Oak Junior School, Sidcup, where we work.
At the end of 2020 we built a green screen TV studio and control room at Burnt Oak Junior school. We trained these children at age 11 (and some older ones) in TV production in the studio & control room at the school for their Bronze Arts Award in TV production. They are now age 12 and at secondary schools and they come back to train other children in TV production at our weekly club at the school.
We believe our company is unique in that children learn how to use the professional TV equipment we have. Many of our child instructors and children in the club have special needs and the way they are taught – learning by doing – enables them to acquire sophisticated technical skills.
We have been commissioned by the British Film Institute to film and stream an event at the end of this year. We have also recently filmed a promenade performance at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance and other events.
We have an MPV which we would like to convert into an outside broadcast unit so we can take our group into the community to film live events and show children in other schools how TV production works.
We believe that young children can become inspired by opportunities like this to become the new filmmakers of the future.
We would love to introduce ourselves officially and discuss our vision and how we could connect with local schools. We are holding a virtual event on Thursday 11th November at 5.00pm and you, or your nominated representative at school, are very welcome to attend.
We look forward to seeing you there.
