For young people aged 7-14. *A Fun Filled [Making Up The...} News TV & Film Production Experience!* **Re-designed workshop content** Following our successful workshops created for and run in partnership with the British Film Institute, we are running a practical TV & Film Production Workshop in our professional broadcast TV studio & production control room - based in the grounds of Hurstmere School in Sidcup on Monday 22nd December 2025 10.30am - 3.00pm. Step into the newsroom and get ready to make the headlines — literally! In our Making Up the News Film Workshop, young filmmakers become reporters, anchors, camera operators, and directors as they create their own hilarious “fake news” broadcast. From breaking stories about alien invasions to celebrity sheep — anything can happen on their news channel! This workshop is all about creativity, teamwork, and confidence. Participants will plan, film, and perform in their own mini news show, learning real filming and presenting skills along the way — while having loads of fun in front of and behind the camera. What to expect: 🎬 Write and film your own funny news stories 🎤 Try presenting, reporting & interviewing on camera 📺 Learn basic filming & editing techniques 🌟 Build teamwork, imagination & confidence Using advanced technical skills with professional cameras, sound equipment and live mixing in our newly re-imagined multi cam green screen studio, young people will enjoy exploring TV Production & film making with their peers. If your child would like to find out how to use a studio camera, manage a studio, work in the production control room or act in front of cameras or maybe all of these - this is the workshop for them! Young people aged 7-14 are welcome to join us for a day of hands on immersive fun! One Day £37.50.
