The 1st e2e Crew

Our 1st e2e Crew are a talented bunch! They began as part of a team of 8-11 year olds who produced a child-led digital newspaper in an Outstanding School in Kent. As  Media Crew they were trained in high level camera and sound equipment, so they could capture school assemblies, work on location and be available for teachers to turn to when film was a part of the lesson. They were the first children from a Primary School to film the Bexley Literary Festival and even ran their own event - taking children from around the local area 'anywhere in time or place' using Green Screen Technology. Media Crew went on to create the award-winning online programme, Newsround in response to the Global Pandemic during 2020. They then trained in different roles in the school's new TV Studio & Control Room, enabling them to mix & record the School Christmas Production in the TV Studio - bringing together children and staff in a Covid secure environment in a whole school event.

Moving on to become our 1st e2e Crew, in 2021, they took their technological skills even further than children of their age have ever done before; they were our first cohort on our TV NOW! Scholarship Program. Now aged 13 (2022-23), they have trained in professional TV Production Skills using full HD ENG cameras and 'live' studio events. Having successfully achieved their Bronze Arts Award: a level 1 certificate in the arts which is equivalent to a GCSE Grade 3-1, they are progressing to work towards their Silver Award with our senior crew members having achieved Gold.  They have gained experience crewing on professional shoots, which have included local and regional events, such as streaming for the British Film Institute, Southbank. Every member of the crew achieved truly exceptional levels of technical skills, creativity and teamwork, and we are proud of them all.
