end2end TV featured on Sky News!

WOOP! Following on from last week's blog, we can now celebrate (party poppers ready please!🎉) the fact that the incredible end2end TV Crew and trainee Hurstmere Media Team were featured on Bafta winning news programme FYI [episode 190] on 8th October, which was then broadcast on Sky News numerous times all over the weekend!

You can watch the crew filming the Summer Music Showcase at Hurstmere here:

Huge congratulations to the whole e2e Crew and Media Team, who as you know we're immensely proud of, but we were really buzzing when we saw them through the eyes (& edit!) of the FYI Production team!

A BIG thank you to our special visitors; Amelia Rusling, Caitlin Brennan and Kat Rogers ... who we loved welcoming to Hurstmere School - our new base. Thanks also to Producer Paul Shuttleworth, who contacted us for some extra voiceover before the broadcast. It was lovely to introduce end2end TV to you all!

We really appreciated the messages that viewers sent to us too! Here's a few ...

Thanks once again for having us come and film with you – what a superb group you all are! Amelia Rusling First News / FYI
This is great. The kids look so professional and focused on what they are doing. Most importantly they seem to be enjoying it and working well as a team. Great life skills. Kirsty Macklen Hall Place, Bexley
Wow! How exciting! Please pass on my congrats to the team! Our Patron Jay Clarke, Warner Bros Storyboard Artist
So lovely seeing the crew doing so well and sounding so confident. A very proud moment, thank you for sharing! Surajni Fernando, Primary School Teaching Assistant
I was amazed at how professional all the participants were. You are lighting the touchpaper on future careers. Well done all! Barry Ryan, Hurstmere School

The person behind the Music Showcases at Hurstmere is musician in residence, Andy Gilbert, who works closely with the music department and brings a host of brilliant songwriting and recording experiences to the boys. One of the songs sung at the concert was called Chasing Rainbows - this particular song was raising money for the charity Young Minds [we blogged about it here]. Watch this video to hear Andy's thoughts at the event, followed by some of Harmony Army singing this song LIVE for the first time since it was written in lockdown one 2020.

The day the FYI Production team visited us. Where we filmed them, filming the crew. filming the concert! Love behind the scenes! A wonderful experience for all involved!

A team is more than a collection of people. It brings everyone together to create something more than could be achieved individually. It is the glue that cements intention and nurtures friendship. Built on trust and tenacity, this is an incredibly proud moment for us at e2e; seeing the crew through the eyes of our FYI visitors, broadcast on Sky News! Lorraine Smith, Director end2end TV
