We Have a Problem ...

Updated: Jun 22

💬 “Creativity is as important now in education as literacy.” – Sir Ken Robinson

Let’s talk about a phrase that needs a serious rethink: “soft skills.”

It’s a term that’s often thrown around in education and career development—used to describe creativity, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. But let’s be honest: calling these essential human capabilities “soft” makes them sound secondary, even optional. And they’re anything but.

Creativity Isn’t “Soft.” It’s Powerful.

Think about the skills that drive change and solve real-world problems. The ability to think differently, connect with others, and bring ideas to life—these are the skills that fuel innovation, leadership, and lifelong learning.

At end2end TV, we believe it’s time to stop underestimating these capabilities and start giving them the credit they deserve. That’s why our hands-on media programmes place young people in real broadcast environments, empowering them to create, collaborate, and communicate with purpose.

Real Skills, Real Environments, Real Futures

In our professional studio setting, learners take the lead on authentic media projects—whether it’s producing a live show, filming a documentary, or managing behind-the-scenes operations.

They’re not just picking up technical know-how; they’re learning to work as a team, solve problems creatively, and express themselves clearly and confidently. These aren’t soft skills. They’re life skills.

And the best part? These abilities transfer across every subject and career path—whether you’re studying science, starting a business, or telling stories through art and media.

It's Time to Rethink What We Call “Soft”

The term “soft skills” doesn’t do justice to the impact these abilities have—not just on career readiness, but on personal growth, civic engagement, and innovation.

“The fact is that given the challenges we face, education doesn’t need to be reformed — it needs to be transformed.” – Sir Ken Robinson

🚀 Because when young people are empowered to create in real-world settings, they develop the confidence and capabilities to shape the future.

So let’s stop calling them soft. Let’s start calling them what they are:

Essential. Powerful. Transformative.

And that is exactly what is happening with us at end2end TV CIC too - we have been reflecting about our journey so far, thinking about the future and taking some time to consider our own transformation.

At our new initiative Edu Hub, we’re making space for creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking to thrive—not as side skills, but as central to learning and success. We'll explain more soon!
